OK gang I have a biocube 29 as the title indicates but I would like to increase my water volume and I am a total moron when it comes to the plumbing / pumps / returns etc I am interested in adding a sump / fug to my system but my current tank is not drilled or plumbed to do so. Can it be done? Difficulty level?

I used a hob overflow on my 29 with a 1in tube and found I needed a lot of flow (a little more than I wanted) to keep it working right. If I ran it at the flow rate I wanted it would get bubbles caught in the tube and I would have to move it around to get the flow proper again. If I was going to do it again I would ether split my return line, so that I'm not blasting all of my return in one spot, or I would get one of the pump driven hob overflows. I did end up with water on the floor a few times with my set-up, but I hear the pump driven ones are fool-proof.
