    Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to sound snappy. Now that I re-read my post, I see that I totally did. My apologies, I appreciate the input.

    It has to be the rock. I'm going to begin removing it tomorrow. There are 3 large pieces that make up around 75% of my total rockscape. I'll have to read into slowly adding LR from the LFS or base rock.

    You can just cure the DIY rock in a bucket of water, and change to new RO water daily until the pH is stable in the bucket.

    Glad everything is OK, best of luck changing your rock over. If you get live rock you should season it until it's cycle is over in a bucket.

    what is the pH now? I assume that rock is still in there.
