A schooling Fish

    If they stop schooling ,just put your net in there and try to catch them for a min. I'm sure the'll think thats a preditor and start to school again.

    When I say mine "school" I don't mean they always swim together.
    When first introduced they swim together more. After they get comfy they do their own thing more. If they get spooked or something they swim together.

    I have a group of 4 chromis together in my 40, they killed off the 5th one for some reason. They do fight occasionally, but its nothing serious, just for food or to get the smaller one to stop following the larger one.
    I like the idea of a group of school bangaii cardinals, but I have never had success with just one of these first and the LFS around here sell them for $15.
    I'm unsure about the tank requirements, but what about a school of some kind of anthias? I only know that they love to swim and require feeding a few times throughout the day.

    One realy cool fish that will school no matter what is a pilot fish. not reef safe but for all of you FOWLR tanks these fish are kind of pricy buy very cool. i think i saw them at the LFS fo 59.99 or 3 for 150.00

    Bangai Cardinals will school when very small but once they pair off they will become very territorial and will not get along - cool fish though

    When you get them let us know how they do - I would like to get a few myself when I upgrade in the future
