    FYI - I put these in all of my tanks as I had the same issue with the API test kit for ammonia:

    Seachem. Ammonia Alert

    This will show you down to .02 NH3. Good for one year too!

    Ryan,

    Are you using RO/DI water or treated tapwater? If you're using the latter, and your water contains chloramine, even tho it is rendered safe by the water treatment product, it still shows up on some test kits since it really isn't removed from the water.
