    I wouldnt honestly put anything in the baffled area. Neat idea, but Id measure your equipment out ot the tank size, You will find room becomes sparse lol, specially on a 20gallon.

    +1, You don't need all of that. The baffles should only be 1" apart from each other. The heater can go in the return pump area. The cheato only has to go in the refugium area along with little pieces of rock.

    ok, now i got it, thanks a ton, i just thought of 1 more question.....is there a place i can order pre-cut pieces to put in or do i have to measure it out and go get glass cut???? and how high up should the baffles that sit on the bottom be? half way up tank 3/4????

    30 inch long 13 in tall 12 in deep.......thats the outside of the tank....the glass is 1/8th in think

    so the inside of the tank would be....

    29 3/4 in long 12 7/8 in tall 11 3/4 deep


    also got any ideas on where to buy the return pump? 700 gph i spose...since i ordered a 700gph over flow box

    that is the same size as mine. I have 3 pieces that are 7 1/2" High and 11 3/4" wide, and one that is 10 3/4" High and 11 3/4" wide. The one piece will be the middle baffle and will be about 1" off of the bottom. You will need to get 1/4" thick glass. You will have to call around to different glass companies in your area to see who is the best price. I got tempered glass because it was only a few dollars more than regular. You will also need to get 2 tubes of aquarium safe silicone. You can get it at the home depot. It's made by the company DAP. Make sure you put your protein skimmer in the first compartment, then messure where to put your first baffle

    awesome, thanks a ton....its gonna be a bit before i got it built, prolly a couple weeks before everything is put together, but when it is, i will make sure i post some photos of the tank and the sump, although it will be empty when i post my first photos, thanks a ton for ALL of the great information...
