Maybe add beg for forgiveness as number 2, and then maybe specify on 13 let WIFE pick out yada yada yada ha ha. Also dont see skimmer or lights on your list. You've got lots of time right now with not having it set up yet to search around on the forum or craigslist for dealios!

Take more time than 2 months...go slooooooow.

Pick a skimmer depending on what you want to stock.
Pick lights depending on what you want to stock.

    Good luck to you.

What kind of livestock are you looking at? I know i started off with FOWLR and soon became bored and decided to delve into corals. Whole new ball game! If you have any plans of coral in the future, try and gear your fish towards coral friendly fish. Also dont skimp out on anything especially your skimmer. If you do you'll be upgrading in the future and spending more money in the long run.

i once had coral in a smaller tank.but this is my first pre drilled tank. but coral dont amuse me.inverts and fish i think are the best make the tank cool and fun. yea i definently want to get rid of the bio balls and replace with LR but i cant find a demonstration online how it should look.im going to pass by the LFS to ask a couple of questions and see if they have an example. Do i need to run a skimmer if im just doing a FOWLR? i plan on getting a hefty big cleaning crew. ill have to involve the wife with that aspect so it makes her more involved in my hobby, and also have her get involved in the kind of fish in the tank.

Honestly, I feel a skimmer is more important in a FO tank. There is a tendancy to overstock a FO tank, because the fish are your main attraction. A overrated skimmer will allow this easier.

ok ill have to take that in consideration because i know when i first started on my other tank i overstocked it and had a HOB skimmer which helped but i dont want anything hanging from the tank so ill see what i can fit in the bottom
