72 gal Bowfront Build

Nice looking tank. Just set up a 36gal bow and am waiting for the cycle to end.

Met up with a guy from craiglist last night and picked up a nice monti, one acro, and two birdsnest frags for $40. Not bad considering the LFS charges 50-60 for the monti alone.









I also cut the brackets down for my lights, I lowered them 3.5", they are as low as I can get now with my plumbing and overflow box.

Acro Crab

I was moving a few things around today and I noticed this sweet little blue acro crab. From what i've read I am just going to leave it.

 

That purple is awesome in the tank. Great job.

 

Your tank looks great. I also have a 72 bowfront. What kind of lights are you running. I am looking to upgrade down the road. Here is a video of mine I took it a couple of days ago. It has been setup for a little over two years now.

Thanks, that's a year of hard work right there... Lol. No dosing just 5-10 gal water change every other week

 

I use a 4 bulb t-5 ho with individual reflectors it has 10 1 watt blue moonlights also. It was like 250 I think on eBay. Then I bought ati bulbs two 12000k one super actinic and one regular actinic. Seems to be doing the trick I have a birds nest frag that's doubled in size in 2 months and my acros look to have good extension.
