has any one upgraded from the standard 50mm fan to a 60mm?
i know it would take some modification but not sure if its worth while or not.
only reason for the upgrade was because the stock fans are shot and they are crazy loud. also its easier to find a 60mm fan close to me than a 50mm.

I am no expert - so a bump for others with electrical experience.

Just in thinking tho - just as long as the fan physically fits and is the same electrical load - should be fine - but again - take what I say with a grain of salt when it comes to electronics.

The size of the fan should not cause much of a difference in the load. I suspect you will need to mod the mount to get it in place.
