I've talked about this before but after i have my 300 i plan upon changing my 56 to these fish:

    2 Percula Clowns
    1 Sixline Wrasse
    1 Royal Gramma
    1 Reef Chromis
    1 Flame Angel

Was considering adding a small flame hawkfish, but im currently contemplating, perhaps looking towards something else. With the 6 fish above, if you would add anything what things would you have? Im just curious to see if there are any beautiful, personable fish out there im forgeting about or don't have experience with.

    Thanks!

You could add a goby such as a yellow watchman, if it is a reef tank, I wouldn't add a hawk fish, they tend to eat snails and crabs. Also, maybe a chalk bass or pseudochromis

In my experience, psuedochromis and royal gammas have never mixed well together, and i havent had much luck with gobies period, but i do LOVE their attitude, they are so cute sometimes (really are dog like when they want to be).

I was planning upon getting a fairly small hawkfish, 1-1.5 inches, and with the number of fish in the aquarium, and with the growth factor being released then chances are he wouldn't get MUCH bigger. I was hoping upon that to keep my inverts safe, although as of right now, i can't keep any inverts alive anyway, because i need to raise my salinity.

I will DEFINENTLY think about it though guitarman, thanks a lot.

    But thus far,

Flame Hawkfish or Yellow Watchman, lets keep it going!!!

Ive had a flasher wrasse once before in my 56 with a six line with no aggression although it may have been just a fluke. What do you guys think about that?

You never know i guess. The fluke was very possible because you know sometimes the fish you thought was ok dosen't work out and vice versa. I think it has to be kept with less aggressive fish.

+1 on no hawk fish, i regretted it when i added one to mine. after you add one you will know why they are called hawkfish.
also my hawk didn't get along with my sixline kept trying to kill it.

on the flasher wrasse, you may be able to get away with it. I would base it on how aggressive your six line is. Usually for wrasses, you can keep two if they don't look alike, can't keep a sixline with another lined wrasse. I actually thought of a flasher wrasse or even a fairy wrasse, both are beautiful fish

i had a sixline, cleaner wrasse and a yellow coris that just seemed to ignore each other. the wrasses werent to keen on the cleaner wrasse when it would try to offer its services. but it all depends upon the aggressiveness of the fish like guitar said. i wouldn't put a fourline with a six though

I have two six lines to choose from right now, and because the six line would probably be more aggressive, i'd go with the lesser of the two that i have to choose from although chances are i will add the flasher wrasse after.

You guys think that's a very good choice?
