I've ordered an Eco System hang on sump/fuge with Miracle Mud which I will be using on this aquarium. I will be eliminating the fluval canister and the hang on skimmer and introducing a Phosban 150 reactor. As well, I will be adding many more algae eaters: a tang, astrea snails, hermits, etc so as to help stem the growth of algae. Then I want to add a few LPS's and clams. This is one of 3 tanks I have.

Looking good, Alfonso. Sounds like you're off to a great start. :)

One thing I learned recently by adding an overabundance of hermits and snails, not only did they go to work on the algae, but they also cleaned up the detritus that was causing it. It less than a week, I had to start overfeeding my tank to make sure my CuC doesn't starve. lol

The tank looks like a good candidate for a "dirty water loving corals" test. No insult intended, I just mean do Xenia, a few chalices, mushrooms and zoas really need higher nutrients to thrive? I really want to know if these corals do better with "dirty water" (phosphate 0.1 ppm to 0.2 ppm & <10 ppm nitrates) or in "ULNS" (ultra low nutrient systems)

I intend to start adding many more LPS' (the entire sand bed real estate will be full of donut's and brains), and I also will eventually start introducing SPS's. You are right, this will be an experiment to see what will happen to the tank once I increase the bio load as well as more corals. I'll keep you updated as the experiment progresses on this thread.
