Pardon the cables wanted to show off the cave work I am putting in for the eventual addition of the pistol shrimp.

There is a large rock half buried under the sand with smaller rocks on top, creating caves.

I'm sure the pistol shrimp will be happy.

going slow on this one. Wife is expecting so much of my disposable income is going that way not my fish way.

I hope so going to put a couple more layers of rock into the tank but wanted to leave the base rock very close to the bottom so the little excavator doesn't topple the rock and break my glass....or get itself squashed.

does that ever happen? I'm sure pistols must have killed themselves with an avalanche before.

Thought I would update what may be the worlds dullest saltwater tank.

    a whopping three fish.

Firefish, Black and White striped damsel and a Chromis (wheezy).

One Tiger Pistol and one decorator crab

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you are going slow. The scape gives you a lot prime real estate for corals though if you want.

thanks for looking! I"m going to add another layer of horizontal rocks across the top as I need another 20 lbs or so.

I've been treading very lightly with my bioload on this one as all I'm running is a hob filter.

I would like to buy a pile of micro brittle stars as part of my cleanup crew (woo hoo huh?)

I would talk with John at reefcleaners.org, he will hook you up if you want. I run aquaclear 50's on my 40 breeder with no problems. I only have 4 fish though with around 40 - 45 pounds of LR though.

I didn't think of John, I'll give him a try. I picked up my snails for my BC29 from him and enjoyed the experience.

I've always been fairly light on fish, 3 small in the 45 and 2 clowns in the 29
