I have 1 in my 30 and run mp10 at half capacity. I think you could get away with that. However I think you should consider the gyre 130!!

    Test results:
    pH: 8.0-8.1
    Ammo: 0.25 ppm
    Nitrite: 0

Looks like we are finally starting to cycle, I started the cycle off with a piece of frozen mysis, brine, cyclops mix.

Just got the mp10 es in today and man this thing is cool. I am currently running a auto-tune wave of only about 1/2 inch, I do not have anything in the tank currently so no need to really ramp it up. I will have to play around with it more when I get some life in there.

It looks like the tank is finishing its cycle and now I have diatoms all over everything. I will give it a few more weeks until I add fish.

So, why is it that my return pump and skimmer pump both crap out with in a week of each other?

My skimmer, lighting fixture and power head all did that to me one day at 3 am on my way to work. All in one fair swoop, without time for me to fix on my way out the door. Hence the reason I am collecting back ups of everything.

I have a saying around my house, "When it rains, it pours".
