    MAX wasn't in San Diego. It's always been at the OC Fair Grounds in Costa Mesa.

    Marine Aquarium Expo

    same type of show, but hosted by a club and all proceeds go to the club (and a longer running show)
    Reef-A-Palooza

    SCMAS Reef-A-Palooza

    MACNA and IMACwest are similar shows, speaker and education driven as opposed to massive flea market type shows like RAP or MAX. Nothing wrong with either format, just different that is all. MACNA will have work shops in the exhibit hall so you can see 15 minute sessions all day long.

    International Marine Aquarium Conference

    A smaller but really fun show is Midwest Fragfest in Rockford, Ill. It's hosted by a reef club.

    Midwest Frag Fest 2009

    A longer running show that also is hosted by a club is Midwest Marine Conference. It's up in MI.

    MMC 2010

    Texas has a cool show, Next Wave, hosted by a Texas reef club.

    DFW Marine Aquarium Society » Next Wave

    Florida has a cool show and it as well is hosted by a local reef club. Its the South Eastern Reef Conference.

    Welcome to the Southeastern Reef Conference 2009

    There are a ton more but this should give you a flavor that every region has somethign great to offer if you look hard enough :)

    Hmm, I'm not working that weekend. The fact that so many 3reefers are going may just spur me to head up. Is this a spot to get really good deals on equipment? I could hold off on lighting, Ca reactor, tunze's until then if the deals were much better than what you can get online today.

    In my experience - there are vendors that will unload their display models on the last day so you can find deals.

    never been to a marine show before, only reptiles. but i think i'll drag my girl to this thing. count us in.

    It looks like several 3reefers are going - sweet! This will be great.

    I just booked my flight. :)


    I get in to Philly around 10pm Friday night so I think I will party... er.. stay in Philly that night, then motor into Atlantic City for the show Saturday - Sunday.

    Anyone else in Philly Friday night? Let me know..

    Who is next for the MACNA outing?
