I was thinking that about 6 weeks the tank should be settled. I was thinking of getting either a couple of tank raised baby Ocellaris clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) or a goby and an Ocellaris. Also a couple of shrimp, snails and crabs. I do not think that the inverts put to much of a bio-load on a tank. Do they? Of course this will be done over a period of months not weeks. Am I going about this ok. Then some soft corals Not sure which would be best suited for this tank. I am all ears as usual on this topic. Great to have found a great site with great people with such good advise.

Fish give off the most bio loads.

My live rock came with a Kenya Tree (soft) coral, so those you could add practically any time! Softies are the easiest, then LPS, and for SPS you want to wait months like u said (those are pickiest when it comes to lighting and H20 quality). Sounds like you have some great choices for 1st fish, and it's just inches of fish that count like Luna said :)

Do you have a fish in there now to maintain a stable bacterial colony and I'd give it a few more weeks and then always add fish one at a time with a couple weeks in between to allow the bacteria time populate to meet the new demand of the new fish addition as mentioned fish are the major bio load.

I am thinking I have enough room for 2 fish in this tank. If I can keep this nano alive for any period of time I might just try for a bigger tank. That's if I can get my better half to agree.
