    He has added quite a bit (see the pic).

    I thought there were one or two fish in there. If not, two small fish will help to get the tank going as to the nitrate issue.
    The complete cycle takes between 6-8 months. Many a tank (a couple of mine) were good until the 6 month mark and then full algae blooms rear their heads. Feeling out or should I say getting a feel for what the tank is doing as far as Nitrate production or hopefully lack there of, stability of Cal, Mag, Alk and PH along with temp and SG. Of course adding live bacteria every 2 weeks will go a long way in saturating the rock and substrate with the many different types of beneficial bacteria required.

    O.k. That looks like a 14 or 29 gal bio. If a 29 one fish in the future is all I would go, if a 14 I say you are done.
