nice 20L! How does your bangaii handle the flow? Mine seems to hide in a corner as far away from my mp-10 as possible.

Too true on that... He is getting better - wonders in the middle for food and then goes end to end. For the most part, he does handles it pretty well. Do you use night mode on yours?

Just got back from a 3 day trip. Neighbor did a great job wathcing the tank, but called and said there was a bunch of algae growing... I was a little frustrated as I have been fighting some nasty stuff for a couple of months now. Put on a new skimmer Sunday, and was hoping it would help a little.

Well - got home and there was almost NO algae! This is the first time in a while where my sand is actually clean (and 7 days after a water change to boot.) The last bit of fight I have now is with some bryposis... and it is even starting to brown out.

    :)

Thanks for the skimmer J! this is the first one I have found that's easy to use - not HORRIBLY loud, and actually does it's job without a single adjustment to it!

I love the night mode on vortechs and have used it since day 1. I was doing a sweet wave for a while, but all my fish hated it and hid as far from the pump as they could, so I now use reef crest at around 75%. I might go back to short pulse later on as I am adding more SPS to my tank than I had originally planned, but for now everything seems to be doing great and if it aint broke I'm not going to fix it.
