It's cool that you get to see stuff like that. To bad it happened where you didn't want it to though. I'd exhaust all other options before you take your rocks apart. That is a serious PITA. I had to do it to get a fish out once.

When I was a kid, a pretty simple way I used to catch new fry esp. guppies, platties and mollies was to use one of those really old fashioned corner/box type filters that use carbon at the bottom and filter floss at the top that is powered by an air pump! Just leave the filter floss out and run it for a day or two and the majority of the fry usually hide or get sucked into the filter.

Yeah it is will see what I can do to catch them isn't a lot of rock yet so the mom will be fairly easy.

Need to find one of these! will be so much easier and can get them all out sooner....and perhaps save a few from dying..I saw the male start to chase one and it was very quick but swam too close to the power head and is now dead.

Get a seahorse in there now and you wont have any babies left. When I first got my seahorses which are wild stopped eating and I had to use guppy babies and Ghost shrimp to get them eating again. Even Tank bred will eat them trust me.

    Thanks

I didn't know that....wonder if I can get a seahorse now....my LFS does have the mandarins I want so am planning to add them.

On the upside I did manage to catch 16 fry and put them into the fuge I counted 5 left in the DT....for those who are math challenged that's 21 baby Mollies!

Fuge - not connected to DT yet, need to go & get the stuff (pipes & return pump)
