Just keep in mind that the big tangs can grow pretty fast. I don't know how fast the hippos grow, but nasos can grow more than 1 foot in a year.

+1 on what everyone said. I had a blue hippo that I attempted to keep in my 55g for about 5 months. I got it extremely small but it ate like a pig, it outgrew everyone in the tank very quickly. It then started bullying everything in the tank, so I had to remove it.

I really dont think anyone is trying to police this thread. Its just harder on the fishes stress level when putting them in a smaller enviroment then they should really be in. Adding on top of that more stress by introducing another one of the same genus of tangs to that as well will be more stress. The less stress a tang can have is the better. Since they get sick pretty easily. No one really has a say with if you do put it in or not, that comes down to your actions. IMO If you want to add more tangs of the same genus, wait for your upgrade. Because it will be a new enviroment and you can add them together at the same time.

By being involved in this hobby we are actively and knowingly accepting the responsibility to take care of living things. Therefore, it is important to do what is best for them. No one is trying to say what you can or can't do, but we are stressing the importance of taking proper care of living things. As reefers, that is our responsibility.
