2" Bulkhead Flow

    I have a Reeflo dart pump 3600' gph at 0' and it has a 2" inlet and i wanted to put a strainer on it but how much flow do you think i would lose?

    Very little. I have a 2" bulkhead for the close loop intake on my tank and the flow is incredible. As I was filling the tank and turned on the pump I had about 5 inches of water over the top of the 2" intake and it created a tornado to the surface of the water, hah. :)

    ok good to know, i didn't really expect it to be to much because the strainer has large spacing

    So does mine, I made sure of that so that I wouldn't lose fish, snails, etc. - snails can actually crawl on my strainer and clean it with no problem. Yet there is very high flow going through it. You will love your dart, good purchase. It does very well on my CL. I will be buying another one, Vegasfish posted a good thread on the Blackfin pumps - they're giving nice discounts on their new models if you test them and give a report back to them.

    i didn't know you could get discounts on there pumps i bought mine in a pinch really but thats good to know
