16 gallon bowfront in the works!

Today fellow 3reefer Jossmalo and I picked up a 16 gallon bowfront at a great price. I am extremely excited about this project, but I also have my fair share of questions to ask before I throw some water in this baby. I plan on transfering most of the inhabitants from my 3 gallon to the 16. This tank will more than likely be a sps dominated tank with a fair share of lps as well. I am going to use my HOB refugium that is currently running on the 3 as a fuge. I would love to drill this tank and run a sump, but Im afraid that I just dont have the space or money for it right now. Would a Aqauclear 70 modded fuge be suffiecent for a tank this size? What type of skimmer should I be running? I will be adding a 150watt metal halide pendent with a 20k bulb. Not sure on what type of powerhead I will be using just yet. Anything else I am missing? Opinions are much appreciated.

 

Does anyone have any thoughts on the remora pro skimmer? I have been thinking about using one of these on this tank.

 

That would be an excellent skimmer for the tank. I think the AquaClear will work fine as a fuge also. You seem to have a good plan.

 

Cool. Thanks for the input. I will have pictures up as soon as there is something worth looking at in the tank. Anyone else have opinions? I have heard some good and bad about this skimmer.
