Thanks guys, speaking of coral growth. I decided to remove two of my large scrolls, the first being green and the second being yellow.

I am pretty sure that a pocci or stylo will make it way to replace these corals, or maybe some other clustering sps, the LFS x3 didnt have much to offer in the line of SPS, but i guess its still early Fall. I do have a yellow/orange milli on order that should come saturday, so maybe i ll just need one. :)

here is a size shot compared to a can of pop, they were starting to get big.

Very nice. I like the island scape and of course the colors are amazing. Is this your first zeovit system?

Corailline, this is my second Zeovit system. I would not have succeeded without help from the zeoheads. ;)

it was a good reef day today, I picked up a new coral, and Jay (reefcanada) dropped by to check out the tank and pick up a yellow scroll(thanks), I guess it was too big to fit in his SPS side project, so it made the 200 mixed reef., now i gotta see his tanks, he is making one pieced euro braces for tanks using starphire glass, they are amazing.

    And a few pics.

new coral from Red Coral pre-order thanks Kevin and Carmen

I am going to be following this thread for awhile. Your tank looks amazing I have done a little zeo before but I am not nearly as dedicated as you are. Looks great keep up the great work. Also could you pm me the thread that you first started with this tank so I can follow it all. I am thinking of upgrading my 40 to a 90 and might want to do a zeo.

I did change things on the left and right hand sides of my reef as flow wasn't what I wanted it to be.

Let me know what you think

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to all

After a very busy season, I enjoyed sometime off, going back to Cape Breton for a few days for the christmas break.

I had a co-worker look after my tank while away, the ease of living relativity close to the aquarium during the holidays out weighed the inexperience with aquariums he had.

When coming home, I expected to fine things in not the best shape, and I wasnt far from wrong.

A purging skimmer, that must have spilt at least 3 cups of skim mate back into the tank, micro bubbles every which way, LPS and SPS bleached colonies, and brutal red algae.

I took some pictures to show before and after, things are getting back to normal, but still not ideal.

How did u get rid of the red slime? I have been fighting it for 2 months now. I am almost out of options.
