Here's a couple of photos to keep the thread up to date.

Moved the Guttatanus birdsnest frag into the DT yesterday. The little bit of damage from shipping on a few tips is healing well.

Really liking how the spongodes is coloring up. The light green skeleton, greenish-brown polyps and purple tips are a wierd combination of colors, but it kind of grows on you. :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Both corals look great. I like the spongodes quite a bit to. Did not know they are purple in new growth areas, hmmm.

I have time yet, but I think it's going to be one of the center pieces in my aquascape. :)

    It's an EFS 18-135mm lens.

    It's this one.

ORA Spongodes | Montipora sp. | Oceans, Reefs & Aquariums

The polyps on mine seem different than this photo, but the colors are the same. The skeleton is fluorescent green under actinics.

Ah, I thought it was an ORA :)

All the SPSs are doing great in your tank! Time for something a bit bigger? :D

    I always enjoy sharp images.

Definitely agree on the getting bigger. ;D

I cheated and moved the frag close to the glass to get a good shot. That lens does a good job of getting a sharp image back in the tank, but not at the magnification I'd like. ;)

Get some instant ocean reef accelerator if you want to jumpstart your coralline. it works. Good.

Went against my better judgement, but wanted to keep the family happy. I added a Hippo Tang to the mix tonight and it hasn't been a success story.

It's about 2", swimming and eating well. Some initial "Who's the boss?" with the 4" Kole Tang, but it was more pushing around than anything. No real aggression. However, the Starry Blenny is being down right nasty. Nailing it and latching on to it. It has battle marks up and down both sides and of course, is starting to show signs of stress with white ich popping up all over.

I don't have time to tear down the tank and catch him, and even if I did, a big chunk of my rock work is epoxied together. I could break it up, but that's not going to happen.

Just hoping the blenny chills out and the hippo stops flashing at the chalk bass, which fires up the blenny even more. Also hoping things settle out quickly before I lose a whole tank of fish to ich. :(
