14000 gallon tank?

i went to a lfs that is by me, and there back dorr was open, so i looked in and so no lie like a 6 or 7 ft. skimmer ahhaha i was like

 

Oh not condemming it' it would like "WOW" to see some one pull that off.. but $$$
would be the thing i would say and lots of it i should think.

LOL you'd need a really big truck for all the LR and LS, I was sitting down figuring at like $5/lb its like 70k just in live rock

 

Build A green house around your pool and go at it..

 

ok heres my .02, i think that if you were going to do something that absolutely amazing that you should not let people scuba dive in it, i think that you should dig around the pool and make the walls see through, then you would basically have a mini aqaurium, but it would be better because it would be in your house.

 

oohh thats a good idea!! maybe i will just scuba dive in it ahahaha, i like the green house idea around it, and the dig it out around the pool, maybe i will get like a glass pool, or some sort of transparents something lol.

 

or.....i could set up 2!!! one with just like sharks and big fish and ppl can scuba in that one, and the reef, where only i can!! ahhahah

 

What a funny thread to read. I always think of what size tank id do if i won the lottery. Im pretty set on a 5,000 gallon if i won. I would have no problem dropping a half million on a tank....id go to my lfs and wipe em out. lol

 

I forget which one it was now but when I was looking at various online marine aquarium suppliers the other day one of them had pictures of their (I believe this was right size) 14000 gallon tank and it looked to me like a converted swimming pool with a bunch of racks in it? Not as nice as a true reef system but evidently it is doable to some extent.
