I purchased a 125 gallon tank from Craigs List..super nice with stand that I don't want except to put it on while I build this one into the wall. After doing some research, and the fact I'm sick of hearing my overflow in my 55..I think I want to drill this one and put in some dursostandpipes or something.

How can I tell if this thing is tempered without busting it? I used to think just because the edges were green meant it was tempered...now I'm not so sure. My local glass shop won't touch it...not that I took it there, they just won't because he said most tanks are..

Any suggestions...his comment was a glass cutter will scratch non tempered.

find out the kind of tank it is and give them a call, also if the reflection of the glass is wavey it is tempered.
