    Everything is NEW.

    Still need:
    Skimmer
    Live Rock

    I should be able to make it in just around 1k.

    Full tank build when I start to set it up.

    I would save your money and skip the aquaclear, you don't need it if you have live rock, that will do all your biological filtration. It's one less thing to maintain as well. Save that money and get a good refractometer IMO.

    Also, do you need to still get all of the test kits, and regular maintenance stuff like glass scrapers etc? Do you have salt? You should also consider trying to squeeze in an RODI unit as well although you're really going to be pushing it with the skimmer and live rock.

    Nah, I've got all the mundane stuff already (Test kits, nets, pails, magfloat etc) from my 28G Nano. The aquaclear is there for simple mechanical filtration and a 'fuge if the need strikes (I'll probably be putting mangroves in there later).
