How long can a reef tank go without electricity? I live in southern Indiana and winds are reaching 100 mph and knocking power out everywhere. The last time we had winds this strong, I had my electricity out for 8 days :/

My power was just out for around 30 hours before we hooked up the generator and I didn't lose anything so at least that long, but I have heard that water flow is the most important so you could always get a battery back up for your power heads if you can't get a generator.

Or get an air pump! You need to keep the water well oxygenated for your fish!!

Hydrogen peroxide will keep the tank oxygenated for 6 hrs. I read that in my reef book. Ill have to look up how much to dose though

If the winds reach 100+ you may be worried about more than you tank. Your shingles will start coming off your house and then you will have plenty of free water to keep the tank oxygenated. Good luck with the storm.
