So i was thinking about setting up a little tank in my room your regular ten gallon tank with an over flow to another ten gallon my refugium with some chaeto and maybe some miracle mud or sand, and a deep sand bed in the main display with 10 -15 pds of live rock and for lighting i was looking at a 20'' fixture from aquatraders about 40 watts i think is should be enough lighting for a few easy care corals and may be adding a clownfish or two what do you guys think?

I love my ten gallon. I am a huge LED fan, so if I were to start over I would go the same route with the BoostLed Par 30s. They are amazing and absolutely beautiful. I have no experience about the Refuge, but upping your water volume is never a bad thing. I would add one clownfish, if you were to add any. I have a lawnmower, yellow watchman, pistol shrimp, and O Clown. It's a little bit much, but I keep up with them. They all swim on different levels, so they don't get in each other way much.

Here is my recommendation. Everything looks good, but i would do a 20 Long sump, more room for a skimmer,refugium..a 10g is tiny IMO. And then you would also have like a 25-26g water volume and alot easier to keep stable that way also. Good luck on it.
