    Copper is a nasty addition to any tank. Many coral, inverts and even fish are very sensitive to copper.

    I have to agree with sostoudt. If you are afraid of bad hitchhikers then buy base rock. It is cheaper than lr.

    (30gal protein skim) need recomendation!

    The biggest one that you can afford. Getting a bigger one will allow you to have a little more livestock in tank.

    I suggest getting peppermint shrimp. I believe you have a 30g. I would get 2 p. shrimp and they will take care of your problem.

    With the new pics, it definately looks like aiptasia. Aiptasia is tricky, some of it is very cool looking. It is not cool when they sting your fish...

    The pic is not very clear, but it looks like manjero. this is a type of aptasia. It will take over your tank.
