well here are some pictures of my old 2.5 gallon tank, i ran a corallife 2x9 whatt pc fixture, and red sea filter with carbon. it was kind of neat....

hmm, i disagree about the fish, normally they will only go after corals that are dead/dying/decaying ect. IME hope this helps some Matty
ive had that exact same thing happen to one my hammers, dont know why being there were no shrimp nor inverts in the tank, bounced back and healed...
