there good filter feeders, just make sure they don't clog your impellers or any other equipment.
i don't know if you covered this yet BM but have you been putting your bare hands in the tank? any protection? I really don't think harsh chemicals...

i had a Fungia with 2 mouths, had it for maybe 6 months but never split. Was kind of cool feeding both mouths though.
