    Your phosphates and nitrates are ridiculously high if you have tons of cyano. They are absorbing all the nutrients.

    That's how much the API carbon instructs me to add. I've read that the first 48 hours is the strongest the carbon will pull out everything.

    Get your skimmer back up and going. Run carbon changing it out every 48 hours for a week. 1 cup per 20 gallons. Manually remove the algae... Imo.
