    Ok so base rock is pretty much just dead or dry live rock.... if you place the base rock in a tank with live rock the bacteria from the live rock...

    Its a good guy, micro brittle for sure..... I have them but mine don't get anywhere near 10", mine only get like 1" maybe 1.5" from arm tip to arm...
