    Do I Need the Filter?

    I would keep it on there just, in case you want or need to run some kinda of chemical at some point ( like carbon phosban ect.) a canister filter...

    yeah like i said before im take a little of the water out i plumbed a swing check and a vacuum breaker off a tee and stubbed it above the water level...

    never used that one but i did run a canister on a 34gal. its works good but its alot of upkeep. if you dont keep it cleaned and change out the media...
