If you are purchasing a new hood for T5s make sure it comes with reflectors. This is what makes T5s more effective over PCs. Most do anyhow.

It is a bit thicker than the flatworm images I am seeing. It's slow but it gets around the live rock.

Absolutely. The swing arms blow. Refractometers are cheap and accurate once calibrated. Much better money spent on one of those.
