    I have used the Phoenix 150 watt DE 14,000K and I am using now XM 20,000K bulbs and out of these two I would say the Phoenix are a brighter blue....

    If you get a good 14000 bulb then actinics are not needed. They come with crappy Current bulbs that dont last and the color is not that good....

    I just take them out every other month or so and clean them good and put them back in. The higher your alk and Cal the sooner they need to be cleaned.
