    How much LR do you have? You should have about 225 or even more LBS for a 150 gallon tank and it is true never siphon the sand unless you have algae...

    78-79 is the perfect temp. I would do it gradual over the week but 81 is still in the ok range. I have metal halide so I cant help you with lighting....
