I've got 48 led's over my 65 and love them!
I have 2x 1400 and a 400 (had it lying around so tossed it in behind rockwork) in my 65. I kind wish I had went with more ph's of a smaller size....

I was always told the only way to be 100% positive was to count the rays in the dorsal fins. The other methods mentioned work but aren't always 100%...

Does the fish seem bloated? From the pick, I would say so but it is hard to tell. Try googling fish bloat. Just an idea, not real sure.
I have had no luck at all with my reactor either.
Not to get this off track, did you get the micro bubbles sorted out?
Algaefix and those chemicals certainly do have a use, however, if you can't get rid of the root cause you will only mask the problem and in the end...

The pump is designed to be run internally or externally but the water still needs to be gravity feed to the pump i.e. you would have to drill a hole...

Which product did you use? was it the red slime remover? Did you add any extra aggition to the surface or the tank? is it well aggitated? I believe...

Any die off on the live rock would start the cycle on the tank, and also any bacteria that was on the rock would help colonize the tank.
