i have introduced many samples of coralline covered rock into my tank...and have scraped at some of them. alot of my base rock is becoming coated in...
if you put the cured rock into the new tank it will cycle it. i put a raw shrimp in mine to get the ammonia up faster...hence a quicker cycle.

yes. put the dry rock in...and get a chunk or two of cured rock to seed the dry rock.

stick the drain hose from the dt into a filter sock. it will filter your water for you and cut down on the microbubbles
keep being patient itll be over before you know it. you are cycled when your ammonia and nitrite rise....then fall to zero.

you could have too much flow, if your substrate is creating a sandstorm of fish are plastered against the glass:)
ya i noticed that with my eshopps overflow. if i put my arm in my tank(displacing water and causing a small sudden rise) my overflow makes a chocking...
also a toothbrush works wonders on algae. when you scrub at hair algae it will basically dissolve.
