    Curing live rock question

    if you put the cured rock into the new tank it will cycle it. i put a raw shrimp in mine to get the ammonia up faster...hence a quicker cycle.

    skimmer causing problems

    i got a remora aqua c skimmer with a maxi jet 1200. it has been running for almost 3 months. the skimmer is great, it collects a lot of nasty stuff...

    yes. put the dry rock in...and get a chunk or two of cured rock to seed the dry rock.

    dont get anything thats superfine like the junk petco sells. it will blow around and get into the water. natures ocean somoan pink is nice sand.

    microbubbles with no skimmer

    stick the drain hose from the dt into a filter sock. it will filter your water for you and cut down on the microbubbles

    How do I know when I'm through cycling?

    keep being patient itll be over before you know it. you are cycled when your ammonia and nitrite rise....then fall to zero.
