    I have checked nitrates and they are near 0 also. But that is what i was thinking on the algea using up all the nitrates/PO4's before they are able...

    Well see im testing for it now with a API test kit (which isnt that great in my opinion) and it shows 0 and i have algea.

    where can u buy that egg crate stuff?

    I just zip tied them together. You might be able to find some good suction cups or something to rig up to place them on the side. the only size lowes...

    I sorta have a fug. its tied into my sump and i got a big ball of cheato and sand in the bottom of it. Skimmer yes and its under rated for my size...

    Yea its stable, the rocks that i have circled are tied onto the egg crate with zip ties there are a few more but you can see them in the pic....
