I would throw the star in the fuge for a while. Isolate the fish. He's probably in shock.
I'm inclined to agree. The reason I asked about flow is because these bubbles are usually ingested into the tank quickly, and typically don't hang...
Having no image... I'm going to say Astrea Snail. Most commonly confused for a TURBO
what kind of flow do you have in your tank?
What kind of bubbles... air bubbles or like bubble algae?
just pull it out. or get a peppermint shrimp from the LFS and drop in in your fuge. He'll take care of it.
Looks pretty sweet! Only thing I would add maybe is a little more H2O
HOLY CRAP! YouTube - Pistol Shrimp
I currently have a Coral Banded Shrimp. He's your average hot headed CBS. Never seen him actually harm anything in the tank, but he definitely lets...
totally molt. There is much to to him than that, even if he's been dead for weeks.
LOL... I'm a fan of recycling. No need to use something new. ;) Thanks I'll try to bolster the pH. My fish seem fine.
Good people here to help you along the way! Good luck, go slow!
What's the Ideal pH in a FOWLR tank? Mine is currently around 7.4 but the water from the lfs is 8.4...
Lmao!
what are the side affects to fish?!
1/3 cube sounds like enough. Agree with Steve. Maybe bump it up to half, but I only feed my guys what they can eat in a matter of 2 mins or so..
Thanks for all the input.
I have a coral banded shrimp. Should I take the molted exoskeleton out of the tank. Is there any added benefit to leaving it in the tank?
Could be bubble algae. Probably best to remove them. Try to do so without popping them.
Ah Yes... very much sounds like a territorial issue. Both fish are territorial by nature. I would agree that it may not have been the best move...
