Oh no, steer clear of Ocean Pro Aquatics. They are not a wholesale livestock dealer (I've seen their "facility") and IMO much of what is written on their website is very miss leading. IME they are as bad as AQUACON. If you haven;t heard of Aquacon, that's cuz they changed their name. Google "aquacon" to read up on them :D

50 is is not that much in terms of a typical wholesale order a LFS puts in.

    +100

As some one that spent a long time working in wholesale MO, what you say is what we did. Some even require a yellow page ad to be sent to them, others use google to make sure your in a business zone and not a home.

No....you need a sales tax license too. I don't know about your state but the bond required in Missouri is $500. With many companies, you'll need to show a business license too.

You're wrong on how much you you'll save anyway. To get good prices, you're usually looking at buying 12-Lots at a minimum. I doubt you want 12 of the same fish so you're going to be looking at paying the individual (much higher) prices. Are you aware that your contract will be FOB-Shipping Point? That means, once it leaves the dock, whatever happens to the shipment is on you. If you're just buying cheap fish, you can just let them ship. However, if you have some expensive fish, you're going to need to do NFO. All these fish are shipped in water and water is heavy. Call your air freight carrier with an imaginary order and ask what the shipment cost will be. You're going to be shocked.

Around here, you don't buy in lots, but there is a $300 to $500 minimum purchase required.

Here is california you have to pay for your taxes for the next year... I think it was $800 bucks.

People who live in California and Florida get to build their reefs A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER than the rest of us. I hate you Californian's and Floridian's. Just kiddin' ;D
