    i bought this frag last night. it had an ornge brisle worm on it and two baby starfish the ones with the long skinny arms. but my question is what are these clam looking things? i have about 4 or 5 on this frag.

    The first pic looks like Aiptasia (a pest anemone)

    The other three pics look like some sort of clam. Probably just a harmless filter feeder.

    Could be zebra mussels as well or something similar hard to say as pictures are rather small...

    when i lived in michigan we would get the zebra mussels on our lures and the didnt look like that. i also have a flame scallop which sorta looks like the clam looking things but havent been able to see them open. cant u click on my pictures to make them bigger then whats in the post? i can but not sure if its cause its my post.

    if they r scallops will they get bigger? and should i keep them? the other thing i know to get rid of.

    They'll filter food out of the water, no reason to get rid of them. They will either make it or die (I know, I know, but it's true LOL). I had ones that lived for 4 years, even through 1 tank crash (2nd crash nailed 'em).

    i would go with zebra mussels also
