dude dont overreact, people probably cycle their tanks with damsels every day but theres nothing we can do about it, if they live, which they usually do i see no problem with it. alot of people when first starting out are misguided by research or lfs employees and cycle with fish, i did it and im sure lots of other people on this site have as well

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yes there is something you can do about it. The ammonia spike can burn their gills.

Please explain why you would expose an animal to stress when you can easily cycle a tank without doing so? What is the rational behind that thinking?

I would think that if another method ends with the same results the humane thing to do would be to not encourage or condone cycling with animals!!!!!!

i was in no way supporting cycling with fish but often newbies do cycle with fish, its a pathway many people choose to take when first starting the hobby, and many are to ignorant to stop it. trust me im on your side.

Ok so I will throw you out in space just tell u explode or doe from no air and bring you back. It is not fair to the fish. And yes I am not over reacting if it was illegal to do it no one would do it problem solved!
