Since your tank is so large, I would go with 60 plds crushed coral, 50 plds live sand. I know people say 1 gallon to 1 pound but that should be enough..

If you put in CC with sand, the CC will work it's way to the top since it's larger and all you'd have is a CC substrate. That would cut in to the type of CUC (clean up crew) you could get.

I'm currently using Caribsea's Grand Bahamas Biome. I like it for the fact that it is burrower friendly and has a nice mixture of shells and shell fragments to create the seafloor look I'm going for.

I am using 100% caribsea sea-flor, nice different size peices, some shells in there too. Of course I have a 55 and it gave me a 3 inch sand bed that my jawfish loved. I paid 30 for the lot so mixing it with CC might save you a lot so you can buy a nice frag:afro:

I bet you have a happy jawfish!

The reason why I'm stating against using CC mixed with sand is that all large items in sand will have a tendency to work their way to the top of the sand over time. If you want a sand bed, do not mix CC with it. It's like trying to mix oil and water.

I use Carib Sea Reef Sand. It looks very nice! And I would recommend 1 lb of sand per gallon of tank.

I also have the fiji pink sand. And I love it. I agree with NOT mixing CC and sand.
