what is chatea?

any help on this, im really interested, maybe a link or somthing

Can you provide a link? I have never heard of chatea. Do you mean cheato?

I Seen a pic with it the back of a bio cube...
I assume it is a lengthy explanation... Anyone have time?

The more I try to learn the more confused things gets! ;D

 

I am new also but have learned over the past few days that it aids in fitering nitrates from your water and also has something to do with helping with phosphates which in the long run more or less helps prevent you from getting Cyano (bad bacteria that looks like a purple algae....I have tons of it now but am looking for cheato. It is best kept in a refugium but some put it in the main tank. Go to reefkeepers.org and click the link on the right for micro algae and read about all the micro they carry and learn some cool stuff and see some petty neat plants for your reef or fish only tank. And some micro algae is good for the fish to nibble on...dont hang on my words cuz im new too just tellin ya a bit I learned since coming here...

i think it ws proly in the back of the tank because it the person didn't want to see it!
