Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here after registering. Ive been reading along on an occasional thread for a little bit now.

I was wondering what any of you would recommend for a clean up crew for my tank. I have a 30g tall with 1 royal gramma, about 6-7 hermits (blue/red), 3 turbo snails, and dozens of baby snails. About 60 lbs of live rock as well. I am planning on getting a six line wrasse and a flame hawk in the future, but before then i wouldnt mind getting some corals too. I have a 175w MH pendant w a 14k bulb.

What clean up crew would be good for my existing tank or in the near future with proposed Live stock?

    More hermits?
    An emerald green crab?
    Peppermint Shrimp?
    Etc?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

snails, my friend. Lots and lots of snails. (Babies don't count unless they have a shell, they'll probably get eaten) I love mexican turbos but they can be like wrecking balls in some tanks so if any of your rockwork isn't fit together snugly then get astrea snails. Some nassarius will help with the sand bed and maybe include some cerith to put some variety in it. Also, blue leg hermits are awesome.

Some people will suggest scarlet reef hermit. IMO stay away from those. When it comes to those you either love them or hate them. Blue legs will do the same job.

I love mexican turbos! They do a really good job. I recently added about 15 zebra hermits(the ones where one pincher is bigger than the other) they are really tiny but they seem to move and get around to everything pretty quickly. And definetly nassarius!
