Then it will be a piece of cake. I work with Inform II and Inform III language in 6 and 7 axis robots along with DeviceNet, HMI's and PLC's so it was just like doing work at home.....just like Matt does. ;)

:confused: Im a bit of geek but you kind of lost me with those acronyms.;D So you basically develop new software and robots for factory line applications?

Also are you keeping a log of your tank parameter using a database program such as microsoft access?

Inform II & III is a programming language like C++, HMI (Human Machine Interface..touch screen), and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
I take care of all the automation including the thermal side (Welding) Awwwhhh manufacturing...what would the world be without it. Peaceful ;)
As for a log I use Serotonin's web sight that is a member here on 3reef to keep all my parameters. Tank Profiler - The Tank List

I had an idea on the languages but not the other stuff (I googled it) I am alway amazed when i see programs like How its made on i think discovery or science channel. Incredible machinery and designing.

I was impressed with my Precision Marine reactor. (review in the review section)
Going from memory, I thought the consensus was that the knop ones are hard to dial in. Not sure though.

I think i read they might be a little hard to dial in, in the beginning but then work perfect. I bought a controller as well so that would probably help out too.

Yeah a controller is key to keeping pH in check and dialing in the co2. Good move.

I just sent my son down a new P/M reactor he loves it.. wanted my old KNOP LOL when I die its his :) I just switched from ETSS 600 skimmer to the P/M bullet 3 man what a skimmer that is.. runs circles around that ETSS. Takes alot of water to run it but I have a huge pump in-line a Dolphin SAS 9700 , plenty of water volume and pressure :)

I'm fast becoming a huge fan of the Precision Marine line of equipment its some of the best I've ever used myself or installed for others.

That PM reactor looks nice but it is a lot more expensive than the knop c. And since i only have about 120g-130g total water volume i think i should be fine considering some people are running it on 200g+tanks. Tangster how do you like the Dolphin pump. My LFS store has one and it is basically silent.

I love them , A bit pricey but worth it for a main large pump.. If you ever go with one for a home system look at the Amp master line very efficient with the alacrity use.. The SAS pump I run pulls a solid 9 amp 24/7 at 120 v.
But the new motor I have coming up from my son is a 1 HP 240v and it pulls 2. amp's or wired for 120 it pulls 4 amps Its a dual voltage motor :) I'm going 240 V with it.. But they make a great pump

My old KNOP C runs away with the demands of our tank here .. I thought about keeping the P/M reactor and sending my Knop down to my son LOL . Then I though better of that The old girl is tried and true and still doing all I could ask for.. If it ain't broke why fix it ??? LOL
