Sorry about your tank, I had a firefish jump into the back chambers of my biocube for 2 weeks, didnt even know he was there, i thought my mantis grabbed him, but anyways he was alive and kicking when i put him back in the tank.

Glad to see the starfish survived though :)

Hey Starfish sorry for everything that happened while you were away. I just lost my cardinal this week. Glad to hear that your star is out and about. Hope everything is back to normal soon.

Man...as much as I'm looking forward to my cruise in Sept, it's things like this that make me worry about it.

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately I have some more bad news.. the male clown passed away last night as well. But I am still really happy that my starfish is looking fine and moving around. AND my favorite fish I have ever had (clown goby) is still just fine. I have had that little dude for 3 years this october... I managed to keep the two most important things in the tank. Im off to the LFS today for some more snails.. not sure if I should pick up any fish your thoughts? I haven't tested waters yet Im working on unpacking haha.

I would check your water first, to make sure everything is fine there. Then I would get more fish.
You don't want to spend money on new fish only to have them die, because something wasn't right with your water

    just a thought

What's your pH? You say you have macro's turning white, they could be going sexual, releasing stored co2 and lowering your pH. Could explain the dead clownfish.

Also you should begin to slowly raise your dKH up to at least 8 (I'd shoot for 11 if it were my tank) over the next few days.

PH was 8.1 and I have been trying to make my DKH 10 for quite some time, I dont think im adding enough soda.. it was at 9 before I left but I didn't dose for a week because of the vacation..
