Water change?

    When you do a water change do you vacuum the sand bed like you would in a fresh with gravel?

    I do not, that's the purpose of the cleanup crew. If you have detritus lying around, I would take it as an indicator that I needed to increase what I had. On the other hand, blowing off and removing what remains on the rock is a good idea.

    I dont vacuum into mine either
    I do hover the syphon over the top of it and collect any particles of snail, hermit, sallylightfoot and fish poop that may have settled close to the rockwork and in the nooks and crannies etc

    So what cuc eats [ particles of snail, hermit, sallylightfoot and fish poop] we have 5 mollies that were in a salt tank before mine and let me tell you food doesn't get near the floor of the tank. So what I am seeing is the above. Thanks for the in put.

    As soon as the cycle ends there will be a tiger in my tank. get it hehe.

    Hey Nvizn it says the tiger cucumber likes caves and such and attaches to them does it harm any corals?
