Can it be done? I just got my (1) vortech mp10wES today and put it on the side glass of my 27 gallon cube. the dimensions of the tank are 20 long x 18 Deep x 20 high. I think mounting it on the back would just have a really clean look.

    Anyone have any experiece?

Being as your tank is nearly perfectly square and can't see why not...but I don't have any first hand experience.

This was my thought as well. Maybe i could position it closer to a corner so i get some more random flow than just straight back and forth.

Reef a holic is correct seeing as its pretty close to a cube there isn't really a" back wall" what makes it a back wall is viewing.it will work equally well on any of the walls

I agree, on the side, you'll get circular flow, which is undesirable. Also, agree with other, in a cube all walls are the same.
